MCAET TV: Developing Arts, Media, and Entertainment Professionals

MCAET TV is on the move! Learn more about how your school can get involved.

MCAET TV is the hub for Monterey County’s Media Arts programs. We are guiding individual schools to enhance curriculum and acquire technical equipment. What’s more, our staff and interns work directly with teachers and students to:

    • Develop student skills in the media arts that will make their resumes and college applications attractive and set them on course for exciting, in-demand careers.
    • Create media content for television and internet outlets that are innovative and relevant for today’s viewers.
    • Train teachers to incorporate the media arts into their classrooms, so technical skills are practiced in conjunction with learning the academics.

MCAET TV’s initial goals are to support participating high schools create weekly news segments and broadcast live sports and theatrical events. Later in the school year, we anticipate televising an array of student works including documentaries and animation.
